About Tim

I did most of my growing up in rural Somerset, first working as a visiting instrumental teacher for Somerset Music. In 2003, I went to Moorlands College and then later did a distance learning course at London School of Theology.  From 2006 to 2013, I worked at Bournemouth Community Church, first as a Youthworker and later as a Pastor for Missional Communities.

In 2008, I was involved in a short-term trip to Mpongwe, Zambia, and started to develop links with the people and projects. Off the back of that initial trip, a few of us formed Mpongwe’s People to partner with the Mpongwe Baptist Association and their work. To this day I am still a trustee of Mpongwe’s People. In 2013  I felt God was saying it was time to go there full time to help with the churches in the MBA. As of March 2016, I moved to Kaniki Bible University, to help train Pastors in Zambia and further afield. I very much believe that local church can transform a nation and that is what I believed I’m called to give my life for.

In February 2018, I moved back to the UK to help serve Bournemouth Community Church again and to develop further my own skills. My plan back in the UK is to study and to serve, and wait and see where God will lead next…
